This album makes me feel like the "I don't want to play with you anymore" meme of Andy from Toy Story towards RCD

RCD was in my top 10 for 2022...so far with this one the choruses aren't quite sticking yet, but hopefully it will grow on me with a few more spins. Lip Critic is a banger, though, for sure!

Spot on tbh… and I fucking love RCD

I do think it’s catchier but this goes for broke and pays off in every way

I do think RCD was immediately catchier but that’s about all it has on this tbh… but this has absolutely no shortage of catchy moments

RCD is a bit more cohesive for me

Yeah that albums sequencing is beyond perfect… I typically listen to albums all the way through but I could more easily pick out a few highlights from this and throw it in a playlist, any time I listen to a song from RCD I’m listening to the whole thing.

THAT SAID, I got a playlist with face between Push rope and Attempt 8, and crying following Marisol. Also swapped out Attempt 8 and Courtney with the redux versions. Yes, the albums flow is immaculate, but they left us waiting four fucking years for this (worth it), I was starting to get bored of it. I feel like it flows very well this way and crying works surprisingly well as a second-to-last song. Idk how much it potentially fucks with the lore or story or whatever because I don’t give a shit about any of that. I connect with these songs on an emotional level and they fucking rock, I don’t need any extra shit.

I just like the redux versions of those two more. Courtney is far more vicious and Attempt 8 feels like a fully fledged song and not just a little interlude, Sophie Meiers also pairs beautifully with Olli going back and forth… and I don’t even know who she is. I should really look her up some time.

That said… I think there’s like 5 songs here that are just full stop the best shit this band has ever done. If LP3 is the same leap in quality, we’ll literally be referring to it as a watershed moment for emo. From the moment I heard sweet, I knew there was something special about these guys. I’m so excited for the future of this band.

Solid pick fr, it’s one of the first songs I show people when I try to get them into them.

I feel like every year there's a post-hardcore classic that I just don't get. I'm hoping this will be different.

This and and their last one are VERY good but just dont really do it for me. Like these dudes knock the nostalgia out the park and own this sound so well, but ive just moved on for the part from this music.

That's just it. There's a time I would have gone absolutely nuts for stuff like this. The music is just as good, I'm just not as into the style. I'm still going to spin this and hope for the best!

Oh wow, I hate the mix with a passion. The hell were they thinking with that snare and bass drum sound ?

The bass drum is without a doubt my most hated part of the sound. It's loud as fuck. It sounds okay on my speakers but on some of my headphones it's pretty wildly distracting.

The bass drum mixing on questioning is horrible. I have noticed that with digital. My physical copy comes this week.

Somehow missed their first album completely and listened to this one after seeing it on Sput. Hadn’t read the review and/or comments so I had no expectations at all and now I’m sitting here and I’m BLOWN AWAY.

Will have to listen to their first release as soon as I processed what I just heard.

Yeah the drum mixing sounds a bit weird on questioning but I have no complaints with how the rest sounds. I'm seeing a lot of discourse over the mix online and tbh this sounds phenomenal in the whip.

Can't wait for my vinyl to show up and see how it sounds on wax.

I think people were saying the apple music mix was wonky. Sounds great on Spotify
