Yeah, that’s what gets me most about this whole thing. Not just how *amazing* it is, but how COMPLETELY out of nowhere it is. No one saw it coming. Nobody (that I’ve seen or talked to, at least) even talking about Neurosis anymore. Never in a million years would I have thought Aaron Turner subbing for Scott would be the move, but it all just makes so much sense now. Both the most perfect and most logical outcome for these guys to continue on.
And also, again, it’s fucking insanely good.

I fully expected nothing from them ever again.
So to get a link to a FULL ALBUM not even an hour after explaining why it was best for the band to just “let sleeping dogs lie” has me just in complete disbelief. Me and Deez were both literally mutually agreeing that it’s best for the band to just stay dead than to try to go on (with or without Scott), then they go and get Aaron and drop one of their best albums ever.
I don’t think that’s just shock and awe, when the dust settles I really still think this will at worst be top 3 or 4 from them. Eye of Every Storm is the only one that I can confidently say is better.
