the opening riff in gut of the wolf has me in a chokehold, I cannot get it out of my head, gives me huge 22 Faces vibes

this is so okay, it just has that shit djent guitar tone all over the place that is so stale at this point.
running this and then running Impulse right after, it's wild how much more creativity even White Noise has compared to all of the songs on this despite being 15 years older (!), there is such a stark difference in just the drumming alone. there are almost no standout drum moments on this record but Impulse and Augment are chock full of them.

i thought the trilogy would have something since they're doing it for the 1st time but it's just 2 heavy tracks followed by a forgettable melodic one, which is also the closer lol

And it's just Jesse droning on and doesn't really fit the instruments at all

The closing trio alone makes this a 2.5. Album closes out sooooo mundane. Frankly I’d probably 3.5 this based on the front half. But the back half is mostly awful

Saw them this past weekend in Worcester and they fucking ripped it up. Further Eden live is just awesome and made me love that track even more.
