I say we bring an actual music review site back
And I'm happy to be painted as the leader in that (inevitably so, for better or worse)

Hell, I'll even give a tip on how to rate albums: take the amount of songs you like and divide that by the total amount of songs on the album.
In this case, I like four (the ones I praised in the review: Parasocial Christ, St. Catherine's Wheel, A Thousand Years, and Devise/Destroy). How many songs are on the album? 10.
4/10 = .4 * 5 (5 stars) = 2.
Instead of just operating off of "vibes" or preferences.

This is cool, but idk something about the band always rubbed me the wrong way. Before this I have heard a solid (maybe) 5 songs from them and just decided to jump into this one after this glowing review… it’s good. I can tell this band just isn’t really gonna be my thing if this is about the best I can expect but, shit, I put it on at work and got all my shit done in record time. Felt like an auditory adderall lol

Just a fun little record to kill time with. Nothing groundbreaking, but it doesn’t have to be. I will say that I’m surprised this band is as popular as they are for how heavy they are. Same with Slipknot. I can’t think of too many bands that get that intense and are still somehow able to play fuckin arenas and amphitheaters
