I was gonna say Voivod but didn’t wanna name drop them as these guys don’t need such legendary weight of comparison lol
I certainly don’t want to start doing it in my own mind

There’s so much to chew on here, but the quality is so high that it’s going to be a real treat to hear it unravel over repeated listens.

TO ME IT SOUND EVEN BETTER THAN ABSOLUTE ELSEWHERE TO ME.

This is wild, I dig it. And for some reason I went into thinking it would have shittier production than it does. I don't know how much replay it will have with me though.

Know what this reminds me of a bit? That album Terrestrial Mutations from Droid. Way faster and more bonkers, obviously, but the slower riffs have that same "retofuturethrash" sound.

"Cryogenically Frozen" has some Death-like moments imo

"That's what I felt with Visitations. Now and then they came back to a kind of main theme. There was also more thrashy and riffy hooks to hold you through "the journey". I'm still trying to grab that on this one...this felt a bit all over the place, even to their own thing, if I make any sense.
Their kind of thing is always on the verge of bloating. I hope that feeling doesn't come out here. Visitations from Enceladus was one of my hardest 5's for that matter."
I definitely need to go back to their first album. When it came out, I listened to it a couple of times, was impressed but then got grabbed by some other release.
And this wild ride of a new album keeps growing on me with each listen. Might bump up to a 5!

this is definitely a bit long for my liking (visitations was just about perfect in length) but goddamn some parts of it fucking go off like mad
and yeah this definitely has some similarities to droid, obliveon, and coroner/voivod

This is what happens when you give thrash metal dudes too much time on their hands. Move over BTBAM, the new leaders of riff salad nonsense is here.

Throwing a 1 on something that you didn't even listen to for 10 minutes is crazy work. He does it all the time. Dude jams 30 seconds then throws 1s like a pedophile throwing candy at children.

you said... pedophile...??? why couldn't you have used any other analogy jesus christ lmao. Anyways, I obviously jammed it. The riffs aren't even the slightest bit distinct for thrash metal either. They just extend the songs out to ridiculous lengths and that's their extent of "innovation".

We both know you didn't jam it Tundra, its okay. Just admit it lmao.
