I love the blende of slower, sometimes post-rock parts, but the BM or post-BM sounds juste like Deafheaven... nothing new to me and quite repetitive after a while... album is good though.

I've properly had the chance to listen to this album now. It's very good, even though what this band is doing on here I'd hardly call blackgaze at this point as there are very few black metal elements besides the harsh vox (which are excellent). I'm not that familiar with this band's previous albums but from the little I've heard it does sound like they've toned down the more extreme elements quite a bit on here, but this is still a very solid album that blends a lot of different sounds together very nicely and cohesively. To me this actually sounds more similar to the last Alcest album.

This album is my introduction to this band, and I'm gonna give it another try sometime before rating, but I can't imagine myself rating above a 3.
It's just somewhat forgettable. I think it's missing more blast beats or something, can't quite put my finger on it yet. But I don't remember half of what I've just listened to.
