This album is getting absolute butchered in reviews. Fantano gave it a 1.5/10. Surely it can’t be that bad?

It's not. It's magnificent. Everyone's ears are broken.

It ranges from average to laughably bad at points.

It's the type of dance music you can go dance to every weekend in midsized european cities and nobody even knows the name of the DJ. Usually these beats play quite late, after the main acts, when everybody is coming down of what ever they dance with. Straight up not his own but something that has been created countless times.

As someone who clubs semi-regularly in the states, I could not agree more! Average local bedroom DJ vibes af

What happens when an artist gets all the critical and commercial success you could ask for, has travelled the world over and over, has built a family, gotten wealthy, produced for high profile artists in multiple genres and have all the resources to record anything you want at whatever pace you want?.

You get this. An artist who, uninspired musically and lyrically and under the guise of experimentation- has convinced themselves they're a club DJ.

He should've just got some good electronic artists to co-write or ghost produce some of the tracks on here if he wanted to get into house and techno.

Works for me... perfect blend of club and indie. Still loving every track.

Finally gave it a listen and it’s not terrible…it’s just really boring and uninteresting. Where are the fucking hooks, man? His last album got shit from a lot of people for going into the dance direction but the songs were still catchy as hell. A lot of this is generic house beats with nothing memorable over them. I also get the feeling he made the production more lofi to trick people into thinking he was still atleast a little bit of a psych musician. But generic house in lofi is still generic house.

The best thing about this album is going on the subreddit and watching people trying to defend it.
