Cried during the title track and again during despair. Might be the first band to have albums in my top 5 end of the year back to back and my current AOTY by a country mile. Haven't been this emotionally affected by an LP since the last Black Sheep Wall record.

Yeah this album has such a dark energy I can totally see why.
Reading the lyrics and the meaning behind each track makes me appreciate this even more. Music suits the script here like a glove, a success as a concept album for sure.

It's absolutely amazing indeed. Last album of this kind that had such an impact on me was Emptiness's Not For Music, and it's one of my fav albums of the 21st century.
Dark music done perfectly on every front.

Saran Wrapped Cash is a fucking beauty, one of my favorites on the album and one of my favorites the band has ever written. it's a perfect balance of haunting and beautiful, especially the suffocating layering on the chorus and the spoken word part which sounds straight out of a Wreck & Reference song, like Eris Came To Me At Night.
the story of the song is also heartbreaking, and a testament to how good of a character writer Tony is.
