If their name translates to The Way of Freedom in German I'm genuinely surprised they haven't been accused of being NSBM considering the Nazis had signs in the concentration camps saying 'work sets you free', or something.

Album rips on first listen tho.

Dimorphic read what you are writing again. Not everything that is German and has something to do with freedom is a nazi slogan lmfao

I’ve literally never read any of the lyrics from these guys but them being German makes me think they’re less likely to be fashy… they really crack down on nazi shit over there from what research I’ve done… that research being that the wolfenstein games got censored there lmao

Dis is very good, very enjoyable record. Haven't listened to this band before, and now it looks like I gotta go back through the rest of their stuff!

I feel like this brought back the sort of more keyboard-focused atmospherics and background melodies that I've been missing from these guys since Stellar.

Those undertones were the driving force of that album and it's why it's been my favorite from them but this might top it because it does Stellar again but with with what I think might be better riffs and songwriting.

I put this one on when it came out and for some reason I wasn't feeling it. I'm not a huge fan of the band but I listened to Nocktvn a lot and this didn't much feel (or maybe just didn't illicit the same feeling) like that album to me.

Nocktvn (and Finisterre even more so) are more straightforward and aggressive, this goes more atmo, more like earlier stuff, but still has some killer riffs and epic stretches, which is why I think a lot of us are loving it so much. It's a solid combo of both of the main halves of their overall approach across their discog.
