this album sits in a weird grey area where some songs need to be more aggressive but in general I wish it was less.

That's easily one of my favorites here. Might have actually beaten out Captagon and the closer for my favorite here, but it's close.

Bust open the golden pots that steep their alcohol

Help me relax

Fermented fairytales of amphetamines and finance

This compulsion to save

When all there really are, are hospitals and highways

There are so many bangers on this. "Dimmed Sun", "Se Sufre...", "Captagon", "Auguries", and "For Those Who Will Outlive Us" are all bangers.

"For Those..." in particular is an easy contender for SOTY.

I literally don't understand how this can be anything less than a 3.5. The songs have energy, the production is solid, the lyrics are poignant, the pacing of the overall album is great. Like... what could possibly be bad about this?

Ya my 4 is very tentative, more just so I don’t forget to jam it a few more times but on first listen this is some really solid shit

Yeah this is really solid, some super creative harmonies and melodies, great flow and feeling of urgency throughout. Almost not even sure if the hardcore influence is entirely necessary here but the energy is welcome

"Oubliette" just taps into the looming dread I've felt these past eight months like... holy shit. This album could not have come at a more perfect time.

That's definitely the best lyric on the album

Second would be:

The tears of the Mother

Give the seeds water

The trees give us crosses

To hang one another

Was a good album until I paid attention to the lyrics. Damn, this is dark and constantly getting better. Captagon is the best track of the year so far but have the feeling that some of the other tracks will catch up.

The lyrics are a major selling point on this one but really everything on it is so urgent. This is one of the first albums this year that I've felt like I NEED to talk about.
