"Dare say, I like this album. Not ground breaking, sure, but a pleasant listen with some good moments. Has some misses, but overall, totally enjoyable."
Yeah I'd agree with this mostly. Definitely comes with a lot of "I really need to ignore these lyrics" that wasn't really an issue with this band before too though.

this is far better than The Work who had maybe 3 solid tracks but other then those, nothing special
Even though lyrics in some of the songs on this new album are cringe or weird, music is more enjoyable, more memorable and just better in pretty much any way compared to the previous album

I don't really remember their old stuff, but this was enjoyable (if maybe a little too much sax).

Better than the Work, but not near as good as Owls

Lol I prefer the bass player's vox to the old singer's.

How does this rank for someone like me who fell off from being disappointed in Owls after loving Monarchy

Album got super boring very quickly for me

I like the production of the standalone singles much better than the album versions but the changes make sense.

This made me snort loud enough to alarm my dog. Kudos.

House of Light/Water & Time are the only ones I consistently come back too. Album is mostly forgettable but still better than that turd they released previously. This is basically just a watered down version of Black Crown Initiate with some saxophone thrown in.

There is just something about this band even with the major lineup changes that makes for some of the best ear candy in metal. I hate metal. This is enjoyable.

I know this is like throwing a firecracker into a wasp nest but I really wish I never learned about the band's political leanings, since it makes their atrocious lyrics on their more pointed songs that much worse.

What are their political leanings? Are they MAGA?
