jr nails it of course. this album just rocks, love the little blackened touches they have now. if you told me this came out in 2010 i would believe you (and btw if this did come out in 2010 it would have a 2.9 avg would be ripped on here and be called fake and gay metal lol). an updated take on a classic sound, love letter for the unc's of deathcore. massive chugs, atmosphere and an absolute monster vocal performance from a legend. that's all ya need.

^ I was thinking the same thing lol. This brand of core being dropped a decade ago immediately garnered a sub 3 rating, just see their back catalog lmao

This album sounds like it was unearthed from a black site interrogation room.

I was a bit hesitant to listen to this seeing that this is a "back to roots" album and I'm not the biggest fan of their earlier stuff, but goddamn this fucking rules

This is fun, I would have liked more melody throughout though, would have gone a long way. The end of the last track is so nice. I get that being BRUTAL is the goal here but I feel like they're unnecessarily putting themselves in a box when they clearly have talent for more.

durrzo they already proved themselves the last couple albums, they don’t need to do it again

what i like about this is that while it is firmly in the hands of their early material (which i'm not crazy about), it feels interconnected with the Valley/Kin story and works as a companion piece. if it didn't feel like that i would probably just be bored with how little it deviates from its base lol
