It gets more varied beyond the first 3 tracks, trust me. Stick with it, the album has a lot more to show off

i just got to new way out!

I think tracks like that and nothing are just modern metal in a nutshell but still very good

push go and crystalized were definitely closer to what i was expecting/hoping for in terms of eclecticness. i liked them but probably not as much as I Disagree

negative spaces + surviving on defiance were a really cool pair! and the center is falling out was insane

good album! was hoping for a lil more with all the hype but still really enjoyed it. at the end of the day, i love her voice/what she's going for and more of that will be a good thing! i still haven't checked the 2 before this doe, will probably get on that soon

Probably her angriest track since the EAT days, genuinely left me with my jaw on the floor

I’m only three tracks deep but this just feels like “hey look how good our vocalist is, everyone can check out and play the most bland metal ever.” The guitarwork is especially underwhelming so far imo

I’ll listen to the whole thing and then probably give it another spin tomorrow

I'm actually fairly astounded at how well Poppy does a hybrid of massive wall-of-sound angsty pop and more ethereal almost shoegazy style pop so well. "have you had enough" and "halo" rule in equal measures

I think this record is a lot better when it’s doing industrial pop rock and not djenty alt metal. Which is kinda disappointing because she has a great scream

lol the centers falling out goes dummy hard. We even get a “EUGHHH”

The records getting better as it goes on for me, negative spaces has the first seriously catchy guitar leads on the entire record imo

The guitar work is quite often the worst part of the album, I get that her voice is supposed to be front and center but yeah, a lot of the outright heavy songs feel extremely uninspired on that front.

The verses of the title track feel so much like Celebrity Skin by Hole to me.

The track Nothing is a big standout for me but I can't really nail down why. Feel like it would have made a better single than No Way Out.

Anyways, album rules.
