"I actually prefer the more hi fi production"

it seems fitting, in a way, that the journey becomes clearer as it reaches its end.

still waiting for a Tinashe feature on a Wintherr project

LMAOOOOOO!!

Also I can get down with lofi or hifi Paysage. My tastes have drifted more lofi over the years but Wintherr still knows how to create the best winter atmosphere.

On that note are there any artists who have concept albums that fit together into a grand narrative spanning their career where not only the lyrics but the music changes to reflect the story?

I feel like there are one or two but I can't put my finger on it

Honestly if I saw that the next darkspace or blut aus nord album had a track ft. doja cat and she was singing/rapping about relationship drama all sassy over dissonant riffs and blastbeats I would die laughing and die happy

Hifi Paysage is still pretty lofi compared to a lot of stuff, I don’t think it’s a vast difference

this thread: "hi-fi Paysage"

the outside world: "who changed the TV from channel 3?"

Yeah the average person would think you're certifiably bonkers for complaining that this is too polished

I just listened to kerker and maybe it's a bad rip I've got but It's so quiet I can hardly discern anything on the black metal tracks lmfao

Self titled is a good mix of lo fi with harshness whilst being dynamic and audible enough, Welt Aus Eis is probably his back track. That or Offenbarung

I'm thinking Urgrund is my least-favorite song here. something like Ausstieg, Transzendenz I, Gipfel, Transzendenz III, Verinnerlichung, Transzendenz II, Urgrund right now.

update: this album is growing on me the more I listen.

Feels wrong listening to this on a hot sunny day in Australia... I'll have to wait until nightfall and wander down to the local botanic garden that has these big figs with crazy roots that look like black metal logos ... which is about to get cut down because some fuckwit brought some wood from overseas that was infested with a parasite that has now spread throughout our city and half the trees need to be removed because there's no other treatment for it.

But the first three tracks were HUGE it could possibly become my 2nd favorite release of his after darkspace III

yeah they're hundreds of years old too

The government dragged their feet once it was discovered and didn't remove the infected trees or make any proper public service announcements even still a lot of people have no idea about it

Apparently there was a research team who was making progress on a treatment but they basically got shut down because the government has already made a deal with the tree removal services so that's causing a stir now as it should , I really hope it's not true
