First impressions after 3 listens is that this is a huge improvement on the last two. I haven’t put my finger on what it is yet - maybe the darker edge referred to in the review could be it. But I’m liking this a lot.

The simpler songs might grow on me and I might slap a 4.5 on this. Could be nearly as good as Pitfalls.
Honestly, I am amazed I am not bored with Leprous, but then again I don't listen to them every day, but quite sparsely, because the sadness can be overbearing

I agree that this one doesn't really have the highest of highs, like Nighttime Disguise, The Sky Is Red, etc., but it seems to be more consistent the whole way through. It is definitely less eclectic, and more straightforward, but for some reason that is making it easy for me to listen to it back-to-back. No problem hitting play again after listening all the way through.
