Brutal, ultra-technical stuff, those female choruses completely caught me off guard.
When I was binge listening to Those Whom The Gods Detest, Kollias' drumming in terms of complex drum fills was lacking relative to what he was pulling with his feet.
But here, he is a total octopus beast.

Never really given Nile much of a chance but my tastes for this style of music have recently evolved. Is this a good place to start?

As with all Nile, the first listen I'm like yeah, that's pretty good.
But then with each subsequent listen, the genius slowly unravels and you see it for the masterpiece that it is.

Gave it a full spin, this is totally awesome. Didn't realize that had this kind of sound, I have only listened to their early stuff and it was a little too gurgly and blast beaty for me. This feels a lot more put together

Naqada is the clear winner for me. The 3:47 mark through the end of the song is incredible music. I absolutely love the atmosphere that they've achieved on this record.
