I’m curious about this. I revisited a bunch of Blink last night to see if it aged better or worse for me (especially having no nostalgia with them to begin with as i was late to the party), and most didn’t do it for me, but a couple things still do, and maybe this will be good

The lyrics to Turpentine don’t really make any sense but my headcanon is that it’s about Tom’s internal dissonance of wanting to make high-brow and low-brow music. “I’ll wash myself in turpentine” is a phrase that means shifting between these two modes

And damn, okay we're out here SHAMING drum machines for doing their part to save pop punk while these bois are out there huffing pitch correction like it's helium to pretend they can still dish it out like in their 20s? Angel Electronics may not be the only artist to use pitch modification as an overtly expressive device, but at least they aren't cowards with it

This album is making me sad. Not because it's tickling a nostalgic itch, but because this is incredibly disappointing. I cannot believe how grating the production is and the majority of these songs lack direction and will not age well.



The title track was the only song that affected me on an emotional level and I say this as a huge fan of blink. Neighborhoods is the true comeback album in my eyes.
