That's a nice song, yeah. I still stand by my 2.5 for that album... some good songs here and there, but a botched execution overall

Not feeling this as much as his early solo stuff, but miles better than what Steven was attempting at The Future Bites. Some beautiful song progressions hiding in this one.

This bloke proves time and time again he can write a cracking tune.

Impossible Tightrope kinda slaps ngl

Also, did someone already figure out the lyrical meaning for this album? Is this actually a musical take on economics, coz I haven't read all of the lyrics.

"i feel this may be his most abstract album for the most part"
True. I think that comes from how much the album focuses on instrumental themes rather than lyrical/narrative themes. The record is a lot more dedicated to fleshing out an atmosphere than it is with conventional song structures (for better or worse)

is it though?
anyway, regarding the hype fading, I can personally say that my hype is all but gone for Steven's music. PPT was a top 3 band for me, I LOVED the start of Steven's solo career as well, but he kinda peaked with Hand. Cannot. Erase., subsequently releasing quite hit or miss albums. Also the PPT revival album was not particularly amazing. Seems like the fire has gone cold

Steven shot his load really fast with this release cycle. Economies of Scale was good, everything else didn't grab my attention
