This is the best Matt has ever sounded as their vocalist but the album is worse than the last couple EPs. Even the 2012 s/t was more engaging for me. This album is just very flat.

the tomes eps are better, this just kinda feels like the very boring equivalent. they need some grit in the mix to sell the grindier side if they're gonna make the music a bit less frantic and more groovy

I find this right on par with their two recent EPs. Really chunky riffs to mix with the grind, and Matt indeed sounds his best here. Overall this was better than I expected and I'm realllly digging it.

ok just listened to the whole thing, the production has grown on me a little.
very nice variety of riffs and efforts have been made not to make these songs riff salad but it still lacks that special spice. idk, pretty good.
