This is definitely growing on me after further inspection, goes down pretty smoothly yet also varied enough to warrant repeated listening

The dnb endeavours here actually sound closer to what Break released around 2008. Big Bud (and Goldie) unfortunately combined the most boring aspects of jazzy lounge music and tech dnb with results that appear really dated from a current standpoint.

The two closing tracks on Infinity+Infinity are as 1990s as it gets. No flaw in itself, but short of doing anything interesting either.

In a sense of standing out over something on a downtempo/lounge compilation from that time.

Hopkins doesn’t suck, neither does this

@ReefaJones
Cool, but one of these was literrally used on such a compilation ;)
Not hard to get the Jon Hopkins reference either, definately similar beats and bass-centered compressed mixdown.

if Jon Hopkins was releasing music just a few years later I would be convinced it’s made by AI. It’s about as soulless and vapid as electronic music can get.

dnb/house/techno/trance songs being used in compilations and mixes. What a shocker
