The ending on Stare At The Sun is so good. This is all really fucking good. I've seen them live and they still rock their old stuff, good to hear they recorded it well too

We need to find some people who've never heard this album but would enjoy it and listen to this one before the original and see which they prefer. I'm too biased.

bruh these vocals are ass thank god they recorded this when they did originally cause i don't think i would enjoy this album at all if i never knew the og
|
| |
but i won't hate on this cause willie is so excited about it and i don't wnt to rain on the parade
this is basically a live album kinda deal which is cool i g but tbh i haven't heard a new thrice album in like 10 years and after hearing some of these songs i'm not super eager to check em out if i'm not feeling dusty's voice like that anymore

I can understand someone not being as into his harsh vocals on this but I think his singing is so strong

the blood on our black gloves, it is none of your concern

For me this feels reallz tired. I get that it has some more depth to it but it was the youthfulness that made the record what it it, simply doesn't necessitate a re-recorded version

I knew the clean vox were going to be an improvement when I first heard about this but I didn't know they were gonna sound that much better

Ha ha. Thanks. I did get excited about it for a few reasons, I think. One, I probably haven't actually listened to the entirety of Artist... in years. I throw on the title track, All That's Left, and Stare at the Sun from time to time but never the whole thing. So, listening to this kind of reawakened my love of the entire album. Two, I definitely did enjoy hearing the individual performances more than I ever could before. Three, I think Jom said we always have to do these things in three's.

The atmospheric parts are even better on this version. I feel like the experience of Paper Tigers, plus the segues of the neighboring tracks, is heightened far beyond the original.

| |
For each song, I'm listening to the new version, then the original, then repeating the cycle for the rest of the album. The original is just too much to complete with, can't complain with this new take though!

a part of me really appreciates a band so transparently doing this, just a fun thing to do

I’ve decided I like this better than the original. This definitely feels like it genuinely is what they originally wanted, plus the obvious better production.

i respect kensrue for altering his screams into his modern style instead of trying to be in his early 20s again

Silhouettes is better than the original on here.

paper tigers sounds sick. cool they had holy fawn on for it. the bass is a lot more clear now. the original defo lacked low end punch imo.
i remember about 15 years ago, the mid 20s artist kid at church gave me a burnt CD of vheissu. introduced me to the band. (i dont believe in god now tho)
not crazy enough about this band to revisit this, but yeah, sounds pretty good.
detroy erase improve rerecorded would be sick.
