You seriously think this is a better album than "Animals"? Come on man. If you like it more then I highly disagree. To each his own though. Like I said, we all have different tastes. This dude can't sing, play guitar, drums, or bass.

I'm not sure, I don't view other men in that way. To each his own though.

the album is literally called "Let's Start Here" not "Let's Start 50 Years Ago"

So if you heard this 50 years from now, you wouldn't think it was still good?

Yachty will be putting out way better albums by then. Pink Floyd almost certainly won’t

Well the members that are still alive are like 80, so that's not really a fair bet. I guarantee you it will not be better than their discography.

So many people are saying shit in bad faith in this thread lol

-From checking a few tracks here and there, most of it doesn't sound like Floyd, but the opener I can literally pinpoint to 2 specific Floyd Songs (Time and Great Gig), not a bad thing, but it is a thing

-There's literally no reason to pit the artists against each other, especially since Yachty himself is a Floyd fan and cited them as an influence

-Duh Floyd is still relevant and still makes tons of money, in fact this album's existence, or at least the opener's existence, is actually a testament to Pink Floyd's modern relevancy

TLDR: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and that's okay

Pink Floyd imitation of Lil boaty is problematic to say the least

Imitation is fine, that's how musicians build on the shoulders of giants and put their own spin on it. It just reminds me of when Kanye had Paul McCartney featured in a song and so many people were like "wow, this Paul guy is great. Kanye is really going to help his career". You mean his career with the biggest band of all time? I'm sorry, but if you put this album above Pink Floyd's biggest albums you are insane.
