The Cure over the Smiths for me. I mean, I will get down with both, but I do prefer to The Cure. This album is great alongside many other Cure records. However, I can understand why people get annoyed with Robert Smith's vocals, but that is a big part of the band!

I like his vocals, but sometimes he gets a bit twee and starts going on about licking kittens and things.

lol, thats random, but i know what you mean. he's like the little eccentric kid in high school who creeped everyone out but still managed to fuck the girlfriends of half the football team.

This is a great break up or getting over a girl record. Robert is patting you on the back and speaking the gospel to help you get over good and bad memories. It never fails, it is a roller coaster ride.

This is truly a classic album that influenced so many bands, not to mention darkly inclined people.
A must have.
