I dug Chaosphere for a while, they went full throttle on that one. Album is pretty insane.

It probably won't man, this covers every inch of their sound up until this point but doesn't change up their core sound all that much.

idk why people who don't like this band still want their minds changed about them, like what exactly do you want that another band isn't providing?

Adult oriented djent, on first listen.

Dude, they're my favorite band of all time, and I haven't heard this album yet, but I can almost promise you that at this point in their career - this won't change your mind about Meshuggah lmfaooo

Bro they've been around for decades and they keep developing that same sound that I'm guessing doesn't connect with you

New album will be a really fun growing beast, let loose, keep mind open 😎 and go for it, motto, and if after a few spin, it didn't connect or grow, this is also totally fine.

Beauty of diversity. Hype, i am.

“but there's a barebones, airier, free-sounding tone to it that I haven't heard from this guys in a while, maybe ever.”

It’s a shame that the production does its best to work against those elements, though. I really wish they’d work with a good engineer, because there is absolutely zero natural ambience in this recording, it just sounds so rigid and punched in. A big step down from TVSOR in that respect for me.
