There was a guy on British radio who always came across quite badly to me, like y’know usual shit re sucking up to bands, coming across as a fake hack etc. Nothing serious, yet I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. Anyway, his self-professed #1 all-time fave was apparently Tool (lol because apparently he is one) and he lauded Sleep Token as the ‘next big thing’ constantly for a while. I didn’t get it, so presumably he was just paid to say it idk 🤷🏻
I’m not telling you who this btw, but there was also some controversy surrounding the guy… no idea if it turned out to be true although it wouldn’t shock me if it was (this is the reason I won’t outright print his name even if it’s obvious to find out if anyone cares enough).

i only checked "Chokehold" and "Granite" out of the plethora of pre-release singles for the new one and was blown away on the first listen of TMBTE. i think it's easily their most diverse and accomplished release so far, especially "Rain" and that monster of a title track out of the tracks that weren't released as singles. that's my straightforward take on it, anyway.

Hmm guess I'll give it a shot. I like The Summoning and Vore quite a bit.

Distraction and Telomeres are pretty nice though. The softer songs shine more on this album for me, which could make or break it. Nothing is quite on The Summoning's level here though, that song rules!
EDIT - Think I actually prefer this album. The R'n'B feels less forced and flows better overall.

This having a higher rating than the new one is borderline offensive

Terrasite having a 3.8 is more offensive than that.

Dogshit album, bored to tears, not as bad as their new one. Jaws still their only good song despite being obviously talented players. Pls stahp being pussies and make some good music already.

Take Me Back To Eden is definitely better. This album feels more like a bunch of experimental demo's with no cohesion whatsoever. There's some good tracks on here, but the pacing is pretty poor and the payoff is a little underwhelming.

It sounds like b-sides that should never have been released.
