"Really like this album, and I feel like it will hit even harder in colder weather. Comparing it to their other recent works, I'd probably take this one over Old Star (which is great as well), but the competition is tough with Arctic Thunder and The Underground Resistance."
I would for sure take this over any of their recent three. Old star has cool parts but was overall kinda lacking in the riff department. Arctic thunder has loads of riffs but lots of boring ones. Underground resistance is fairly solid songwriting wise but just didn't have much lasting power for me

Idk Old Star is worse overall, than this album, but then again it has Duke of Gloat on it, one of the best Darkthrone songs for me, anyway. their early 2000's late 90's stuff is pretty underrated imo, they were blending black metal and what they are now, and vocally it was more black metal-ish. Check out those albums, particularly ravishing grimness,

Old Star was fantastic as well, they've released several excellent albums in a row now and they've never sucked. Impressive for a 19 album band.

15 July is the day you're going to check this. I'd imagine other stuff happens on July 15 as well but I don't know about that.

All Darkthrone rules (2)
Their mid-era stuff is pretty much all underrated, Ravishing Grimness might be the best of that stretch but they're all great
