Now that I've had a chance to properly digest this album, I've come to the conclusion that it's a really impressive return to form. The last few records didn't do much for me (especially MGGR, ugh), but this is fantastic. United Alive was awesome, seeing Kiske and Deris trade off on vocals so seamlessly and really complementing each other's vocal strengths.
It couldn't be helped that expectations for an album with the entire new lineup would be likely impossible to meet, but I feel they really delivered here, considering. Skyfall is probably my favorite, but the first 7-8 tracks all range from excellent to solid. It does bog down a bit though before Skyfall. Golden Times should have been included on the main album. I think it's better than several that made the cut.
I hope they will bring their tour back to the US, as I unfortunately didn't get a chance to see Pumpkins United and it looks absolutely incredible.
