"I don't get it
This is like the most characterless kind-of-big-budget sci-fi movie soundtrack ever
At least new Godspeed consistently held my attention"
Wow, it's like people have different opinions. Crazy right?

may have been a bit disingenuous i suppose, but I guess it depends on how you define "great" and how actively you pursue music

Each to their own, I'm glad the album is getting some attention and naturally some won't like it as much as I do. Everyone has different tastes after all.
I'm happy just to get a solid Godspeed album and this as well during April.
Not to mention Kauan as well

Pretty decent. I haven't listened to Godspeed! outside of F# and Skinny Fists, but I honestly wouldn't put them in the same tier as my first listen of F# by any stretch.
Like it enough to support them though. Looking forward to seeing what else they put out!

First rule of post-rock is compare everything to Godspeed
Second is that basically no crescendocore touches early Godspeed
Third is that post-Allelujah Godspeed is ehhh
Fourth is to never clarify which era of Godspeed you compare post-rock albums to
Hope this helps!
