"i didn't care for girl fruit basket fruit whatsoever, but there are certainly a decent handful of tracks on here that evoke invigorated head bops"
Stop giving me hope, I'm trying to bum myself out and lower my expectations.

Same. Then I revisited it recently and my experience wasn’t quite so harrowing, still wasn’t great mind.

Definitely better, always happy to be wrong.
But man, does this drop off a cliff after track 5. Midtempo, loud finish, repeat.
And that cure cover is a travesty, you guys are crazy.

Porc's AOTY? I am definitely getting on this one this week, even if I wasn't too fond of the previous stuff.

Fair play up front, prior this Xiu was my poster child of endless 4.5s, always hoped they'd put it all together for the masterpiece

I’m expecting the unexpected, or not. I’ll keep my predictions to myself. You’d be better off starting with Knife Play, but I realise people don’t do that these days.
The extended middle run from ‘Fuzz Gong Fight’ through to ‘Saint Dymphna’ is growing on me. Just a thought, I realise Xiu Xiu have always played around with unpredictability but their best works still have an overall ‘vibe’ - still not entirely sure what that is here.

I think Knife Play, A Promise or Fabulous Muscles are still the best places to start.
