Listening to this the whole way through was one of the most unemotional musical experiences I've ever had. No peaks or valleys in the songs or even as an album, no flow. It's all so banal sounding, the songs are "competent" for the most part but like NOTHING spoke to me on this. On some days Adore is my favourite SP album, and I'm a staunch defender of TheFutureEmbrace, so I'm no electro-Billy hater. But those albums felt sonically adventurous and seemed to come from a genuine place. This is just the meh-est thing to ever happen to SP and I'm getting tired of the disappointments.
Billy said he made this because he was sick of people saying SP don't make contemporary music. Like just... stop caring so much, seriously. Hire an actual rock producer and record a live-on-the-floor doomgazey rock album that highlights the members' strengths and isn't concerned with creating hits. Please please please.

A pretty dull review, for sure a lot duller than the record itself.
Also remarkabel "Geek USA" is mentioned. at he time Siamese dream came out, I loved every single song of it. But time learned me that "Geek USA" is one of the 3 pretty mediocre songs on Siamese dream.
For now I like Cyr, good written, well produced songs. Not as much an experiment, The Pumpkins have written already a lot of songs similar to these ones, just never a full album.

This is album really is representative of how shit music is.
The corporate sponsored festivals headlined by old acts.
New acts churning out shit influenced by the old acts who continue for no purpose whatsoever and churn out shit.
An unquantifiable amount of new shit on streaming services plugging in to the commodity to churn out shit and lapped up by people whose minds have turned to shit.
The cream always rises to the service but the surface is a slim film of bullshit that dissipates everything it touches.
Album is shit.
