debut LP is definitely bold in a relentless assault on ye old orifices, perhaps less so in terms of creativity vs Mirror (which remains the clear #1 SC as things stand)
I still need to check Endless Detainment

This and ENDLESS DETAINMENT are peak imo but any serpent column is good serpent column

This is my least fave thus far, perhaps it just needs a little more time to marinate

Endless Detainment is the shot of adrenaline I needed. Contender for second fave SC. Cheers tect.
It has an interestingly (weirdly?) high number of votes for an EP (more than this and the debut!) Curious.

Oh wow need to peep. Yeah I thought SP was 'dead' and he was just going to continue under his moniker Theonopolois or whatever.

New one is good. But perhaps also a bit underwhelming? Could be a victim of unreasonably high expectations considering I've found just about everything SP has put out to be anywhere from great to excellent. Biggest criticism I can leverage at it is that parts of it bordered on tedium, something I can't confidently say about ANY other SP record. Enjoyed it overall, but didn't quite grab my ankles like the rest.

I may need to go through the discog again but the new one struck me as his best since Mirror (only just slightly edging out this one but clearly above the EPs)

didn't realise there was a new one, will chk
listened to this again and there are some nice moments but it still doesn't quite tickle me like the previous two do. The closer has always kinda rubbed me up the wrong way for doing almost precisely nothing (except 'artificially' extending the runtime)

Pity the last track exists, rest is great as always. New one is fantastic as well, but „Mirror in Darkness" will always be my favourite
