One thing the new one has over AHD is the way the songs progress, as much as I love the repetition of AHD (and how it adds to the dejected tone of the whole album), the progressions on Skinty Fia are less linear

yeah this was one incredibly depressed sounding album at times, brilliantly so imo
not that the new one is a bed of roses but it doesn't quite WALLOW like this

Fantastic album, up until "Oh Such a Spring" it is flawless, and with the t/t it switches to 5th gear again. Got to love it.
