Slex do you like country? I feel like I didn't know that, but now I'm happy.
And yeah, the peaks of this are phenomenal: the pure romance of "Mine", self-deprecation of 'Messed Up Kid", unrequited love of "Loom", the loyalty oath that is "Elisabeth", the pure gorgeousness of "Washington Lilacs", and the party anthem that is "Revival" - man, forgot how backloaded this thing is.

I stand by the Elliott Smith statement. He's underground, largely acoustic, a songwriting savant, and writes about love and substance abuse. I've planted my flag on this hill and I'll die there if I have to. ;-)

Update: Bonnaroo was canceled so obviously I didn't get the chance to see him there, BUT his tour is coming through Chicago next week and I have tickets for Wednesday. Just checked out his 20 song setlist and I think this will be such a great change of pace from my usual concerts. A tad bit bummed/surprised Come as you are isn't on the setlist though
