Easily their best and most consistent album. Anyone who is hesitant to check it out because of the "symphonic" descriptor, go ahead and do yourself a favor and jump in. The symphonics are well balanced and modern sounding, nothing silly or cringey here. (although there is a slight hint to their electronica phase in the title track, it is tastefully done and doesn't detract from the atmosphere)
I have nothing negative to say about this album, other than the fact that it doesn't really do anything that hasn't already been done before. The band's earlier albums were more unique, if I had not already known this was And Oceans when I heard it I would have never guessed it was them. Also, a little more variety in the vocals could have spiced things up a bit. But taken as a whole, this is definitely the album to spin if you only had one to choose.
