Unhallowed and Miasma are probably still their best albums.

Very competent album, and that's about it. A handful of good tracks.

Because Ulcerate only released today. They genre feature current albums, occasionally those pre-release.

"For some reason, and it's really strange, I've never listened to this band. I used to think that they were in that sort of ''Deathcore/metalcore'' crowd like with the Br00tal scene bands or whatever. So I avoided them. I have no idea why I thought this though. But looking at the similar bands Carcass? I might check this band out afterall."

I wouldn't say they were ever deathcore but I can say as someone who was in 7th grade when they gained popularity and the scene boom was hitting it's peak that every scene, fringe having snake bite rocking teen had a Black Dahlia shirt and it was probably A. Because of their merch. And B. The bands that they were normally on the road with. There was also a handful of brutal death metal bands that got popular with the scene kids as well (here at least). I'd say they're worth a shot if you're into melodeath at all though. I never really cared for At the Gates beyond The Red in the Sky but I need to give Slaughter of the Soul another shot. Still need to jam this too.

Yeah I used to think they were a scene band too, they seem to market themselves that way

This wasn't doing much for me at first but once Sunless Empire came on that changed. Easily one of the best guitar solos they've ever put out, not to mention the song is incredible.

Sunless Empire might be their best song, miles ahead of the other stuff on this

Not gonna lie I somehow missed With Fear in their discography. Back when I was getting into metal I grabbed Red in the Sky, Slaughter of the Soul and Terminal but I knew nothing about that one. Jamming it now though and I'm definitely digging. Gonna give Slaughter of the Soul another shot after I listen to this too

How the FUCK did I miss this? Alright time to listen.

Edit: so far this is sounding exactly like the Ritual/Everblack sequel that I’ve wanted for so long now.

Digging it on first listen. The end of The Wereworm's Feast is pretty awesome. Dug the interlude that follows a bunch too.
