Not really, it's probably the best album released this year in my opinion. It's ambitious, complex, epic and fresh - but hey you could put me down as someone who overrates.

Rating it a five is just about the same, don't you think?
Nope, no where near as bad.

I am buying this today I cannot wait to get my hands on it

It's about as good as their other albums in my opinion. I've never been able to pick a favourite (Showbiz probably being marginally my least favourite of the four), but overall I'd rank all of them between 3.5 and 4 out of 5. One of the better albums that I'd been looking forward to in 2006.

It may take some people some time for their opinion of it to "sink" along with the rating. Not bad, but still just nothing special.

If they can't be Absolution, they sure as heck can't beat OoS and Showbiz.

Good album review. But this is so much not a classic.
I don't understand the Starlight thing, this such a bad muse commercial track.
First and last tracks have very nice build ups.
3rd best album by muse for me.

i havent given this album a full listen yet but ive heard a few of the songs and they are amazing. Supermassive Black Hole, Starlight, Invincible nd Knights of Cydonia are all amazing in there own ways, KoC is such an empiric song that when i heard them play at Reading last night sounded amazing. they are an amazing band and have created an amazing album

This is a fantastic, dramatic album. It's lyrically brilliant nearly all the way through and fast pace in the music whilst keeping a euphonous sound is the sign of Matt Bellamy's brilliance. This may not be a classic but it's definitely one of the best recent releases.

I saw Muse live in Kansas City yesterday, and they are awesome live. There live show is intense and amazing! If you have any chance to see them, then do it. I would have paid full ticket price ($35) just to see the first song, "Knights of Cydonia" live. MUSE RULES!!!
