This feels like DLC for Citizen of Glass, rather than a strong and cohesive work in its own right

yeah i don't think i'm quite as into this as aventine or citizen, but individual songs are incredible, broken sleep in particular is gorgeous - it's like riverside 2.0, and riverside is my favourite obel song

I wonder what my favourite Agnes song is. Trojan Horses, Pass Them By, Fuel to Fire... hard to pick just one

I dunno man, this album is about the same length as the previous two, yet it feels much slighter. Like there is less to sink my teeth into kinda thing. A few good standouts

3 interludes might be a bit too much.

I only feel one of the interludes the others are ok I guess. They do help the album though.

I love this. I do see where the criticism is coming from, but I've got no issues here. We'll see what more listening sessions will bring!

Ok gave this a try because I figured I wouldn’t actively dislike it, and that’s indeed the case, this is at worst pleasant, but yeah I really don’t get why people find this/her special - I love this kind of stuff but I find her songwriting and melodies really uninteresting.

What I love about her music is: sense of space (she isn't afraid to incorporate silence and to keep it really quiet and small), her production values (greeaat ear for detail, all of her records sound totally incredible and she does all of it herself) and the general atmosphere and vibes (brings the feels hard). Love how she dares to do weird stuff with her voice too.

That may be true but by the same token she comes across as a bit too studied. But to be fair you could level that criticism at many of my favorites too.

If this isnt quite flaccid enough for you boney check the new Rebecca Floon, it has half as much personality as this and is a quarter as engaging so it should be right up your ally
