An interesting debut album for a band that have achieved so much recognition and success over the past two decades. Some of the songs on here really get on my nerves purely because it takes a while to actually get stuck into them, but once you do, it is satisfying. Nonetheless, this happens on every one of tool's albums, so i'm not seethed about it. 'Prison sex' and 'Bottom' display some truly disturbing imagery with the lyrics yet rumble along with infectious grooves, whilst the title track is one of the most furious-sounding songs of the band's early days.

people often overlook flood, flood rocks hard (it also sounds very melvins at the beginning) This deserves better
than a 3.8. danny fucking nails it all over this album.

This is a rad album, songs like Bottom and Prison Sex are standouts. Then the almighty Aenima came forth and left this in the dust with it's tail between it's lil legs

This is my least favorite Tool album when compared to how great the others were, but it's still pretty
decent.

i've had this album for nearly two years now and have never listened to it the whole way through. Pretty much just bought it to complete my Tool collection.

'i've had this album for nearly two years now and have never listened to it the whole way through. Pretty much just bought it to complete my Tool collection.'
dude! have you heard all of it though, at least in different parts?? this album is great. but the best songs are on the first half so you've at least probably heard those all the way through. if tracks 1-4 were an EP it would be a 5. especially Intolerance and Bottom.

yeah, but I don't remember any of the tracks and what they sound like. I still have the CD; maybe i'll give it a spin later.
