I find that's the case with most modern Australian metal vocalists

An instrumental version would be greatly appreciated, there's some beautiful melodies going on that get a bit drowned out. Though I will say Charlton is one of my favorite vocalists in the scene along with Brendan from Counterparts and Kadeem from Loathe

Yeah l thought the production was fine but l don't have a refined ear for sound quality. Certainly no expert.

I actually think what separates this from most of the crowd in this genre is the vocals and the atmosphere they contribute to throughout both this record and the ep. I wouldn't like this anywhere as much if there wasn't such a focus on those almost ethereal cleans.

and yeah, agree on the way the album flows. I've actually wondered if The Haze and Red Summer were initially conceived as a single song, but then got broken up later in the writing/recording process.

Same, The Haze and Red Summer feel like one big song lol I would've been down for that

If this thing was all harshes, it could be the next Constellations

Agreed on the cleans being a big part of the appeal. I love his harsh vocals but most of what stays stuck in my head is parts with his cleans carrying so much of the atmosphere. A good example for me would be “I lost it all when I lost you” in Lily

I'm glad he improved his harshes tho, it's a big jump in quality from the EP to this
