I love brutal death metal and it's pretty much all I have been listening to in the last three months, but every time I revisit Devourment, I just want to take off my headphones and smack myself silly with it

That's true, but I'm not one to give up easily, so I keep trying to get into it, because so many people here say it's good, you get me? My most loved albums were generally tough to get into.
