Its a radio rock medley imo. It is still good, but we shouldn't be rating high just because its not meant to be taken serious. Just my opinion though. A bit too beefy.

How is it trying to do too much if it's a radio rock medley?
Also how on Earth is this radio rock? You aren't making much sense to me right now bud.

Sorry friend. I listened when it came out...but always had this feeling of them being a radiofriendly ETID. But its clearly a biased in perspective.
Medley as in they trying to be Muse at times, mixing with Metallica and then all the way beefy metal. It sure is fun.
Oh and I some times don't make much sense, I just feel things.

They have a very well defined sound imo and it's nothing like Muse. I get the ETID comparison, but these guys are their own thing. More like Pantera meets Rob Zombie.

More like Pantera meets Rob Zombie agreed, but in a cartoon for me...

The cartoonishness comes from the Rob Zombie influence. It's fun and it doesn't take itself too seriously and I KINDA LIKE THAT (I'm not yelling at you I'm just singing the song).

;) maybe if I try it again I might bump it...don't really see it as a 4 though, but can accept someone sees that.

Yeah man don't take it to seriously. It's just a fun album with heavy groovy guitars. Music to mosh to.

Oh believe me I didn't. I have hard time at hard rock.

Give a listen to Boogiewoman first. It's definitely more metal than hard rock.

I unconditionally love everything this band does.
I'd also like to say Suck out the poison is amazing, and was criminally underrated at release

great album, took me some time to really like it but yeah, these guys have their own style

White Bat is one of the best metal/rock songs I've heard from a band in so long. The album has grown on and off of me a few times since it's been out but I find myself consistently listening to White Bat regardless of how I feel about the rest of the album

White Bat, Burn All Your Rock Records, Eye Teeth and Boogiewoman are all bangers.

Haven't listened to this in full for a bit. Will have to take for driving music and fix that.

So nice to hear Croom belt out some screams after all these years. Dude's been a fantastic vocalist since day 1.

Agreed, eye teeth and white bat are my jams. Still trying to feel out the rest of the album.

He's a bit limited though. My major gripe with this album is that he doesn't have any great hooks on the mellow tunes, and that might just be because he can only hit like 4 notes. Not a big deal when the band is rocking out, but a drawback when they're not.

I agree with the hooks being lesser than their previous work, but I think his range is more than adequate.
