I really enjoyed this. Has everything going for it to be the most boring thing ever but it is such a nice listen

lol this is way similar to all his other stuff, but since you don't like it you try to separate them.

His music's been leading up to this since 2012, if you didn't see this album coming you need new goggles...

This was disappointing. I was kinda hoping for more but I have a feeling this will grow on me.

Just cuz it’s the logical next step in his career, which it is, doesn’t mean it sounds like his other albums

Album grew off me FAST. There’s like 2 good songs.

I love how much disappointment there is for this. Dog was the one that was bye bye for me. Where do you think his high point is in his discography?

Forgot I came here to say he sounds like Graham Coxon on this one.

this old dog is definitely his most polished and the one i come back to the most, but at the same time it felt at the moment like a dead-end scenario for him with this particular style. Evolve or die.

This is actually sitting a bit better on a second listen, though there are certainly glaring flaws.

You know what.. Mac wanted freedom to experiment and refine his sound. He got it with his newly created label. There have been a ton of copycats, and no one can replicate his charm and sound.
