"I do like “I Am Above” but I won’t listen to this whole thing"

It's not unlistenable. You can give this a spin, but I suspect one spin is all it'll be.

As for the review, it's not **bad** but it's like............. why every new In Flames review feel the need for every point of detraction to be based on a comparison to older material? Can't anyone give another reason as to why they don't like it, or does it all have to be held next to The Jester Race?

That review cliche reminds me of how every review for a thrash album that came about past the genre's golden years seems to give a history lesson on thrash. "The year was 1995. The golden era of thrash was over, and thrash was a dying scene..."

"We Will Remember" selected lyrics:

We have come so far

Crawled through knives and artifacts

We had a purpose and a reason

Behind space and time

Calling our gathered masses

From the colony to the hives

I have come to realize

(This is) not an ordinary story

Holy shit, someone teach In Flames the golden rule of media. Don't fucking reference better media in yours, don't REMIND the audience what they could be listening to instead.
Yes thank you Anders, I would rather be listneing to Crawl Through Knives, Behind Space, Colony, etc.

Please tell me those are not [even] partial lyrics to the song.
I thought they rejected their old material as being inferior but now they clearly give it a nod? This band doesn't make sense

If they think their old material is inferior then they should’ve called it quits a decade ago lol.

Yes, at least Anders thinks their old stuff is immature. As if they grew up, became wise and understood exactly how to market themselves and be the best possible band they can be.
or some stupid shit like that
