Hey Noctus, since you were so generous sharing something (I think you know what haha) with the sputnik community, and making my and others day ;), I thought I'll give something back. Here's the short story as to how this album clicked with me.

Fall 2010, sitting with my thoughts about life, questioning things and becoming more desperate in need of something to focus on, I put on this. At the same time a movie I was due to see (Brokeback Mountain) was running on tv. Right from the first note of the title track to Dead Eyes, the album slowly became synonymous with the emotional weight, desperation, and melancholy in the movie. I'd listened to this previously but circumstances were just right. It clicked when I put it on repeat during the movie when the lines "Silver's just another gold..." of the title track's ending part rang out in unison with the movie's heavy climax. Given the subject matter and the universal message most of us can relate to, it's needless to say that movie made quite an impression. That's how I became kind of emotionally attached to this.

that's wonderful sound! :] the time it clicked with me was when i was on a ferry, moving somewhere. it was just getting dark, thick fog everywhere and when i was listening to silver i just saw the lights of the city emerging from the fog and twinkling at me, it was beautiful and it made me feel better about leaving my old home and starting anew and that's how that song got such a strong response from me. s/t is like his third best release, this is by far the strongest of his material that ive listened to and Ive heard most of it. Wolves, Dead Eyes and Star are all amazing the t/t is a bit overrated
