Fig. 4 - The Transformation is featured on Stereogum's Black Market. I've been following it for a year or two and it's by far my favorite monthly blog with really great picks that cover the whole metal spectrum (both mainstream and underground) with always a great editorial write up as the introduction. I highly recommend it for Sput metalheads to check it out every end of the month: https://www.stereogum.com/2021068/the-black-market-the-month-in-metal-october-2018/franchises/the-black-market/

Nice man! Did not hear many comparisons to other bands/albums so far but I can tell you Tales is one of my favorite records. Thanks for giving it a spin and feedback

My pleasure. Your guitar playing on the acoustic parts is mesmerizing, so is your song writing skills. Looking forward to more stuff in the future.

this is great working music right here, loving this

I really like the folk/acoustic parts but wasn't to thrilled about the BM parts
|

I didn't sport any corpsepaint while recording, it definitely weakened my bm game ;)

Oh I'm not really into the old school black metal anyway so that's probably for the better haha

and that's fine, really, i just laughed at the word "indie-folk" being used
|
| |
it’s lite metal comparable to agalloch so indie-folk comparisons aren’t *that* inappropriate

I think this is the third metal album I've listened to since 2016 so I mean ribbing is absolutely accepted and encouraged. I'm no metal authority but I did enjoy the hell out of this and was pleasantly surprised that a sputnik user project would sound this crisp.

A little cheesy at times but it works. Not a bad album, probably 3.5 tier but gotta give it another spin
