This alum could be a 4, but for me, artwork i find is a very important contributor to the 'feel' of the album, this artwork is simply not acceptable, and slightly disturbing

whoa Jingledeath...there was nothing disappointing about this album. It's their best album imo...Frengers is a better casual listen but if you want a truly engaging album front to back this is definitely the best for that in Mew's catalog.
Well this never really clicked with me but I guess I should give it a few more listens to see if my opinion changes.

This is a fantastic album, but you really have to be patient with it. It can fall apart if you listen to tracks individually; it's infinitely better as a coherent whole.

it flows so much better than Frengers yeah, but Comforting Sounds is such a massive closer. Lousie Louisa is good too, but it lacks something. I almost wish that this album closed with White Lips Kissed instead.
