Seconding Feather on A Lesson in Romantics. It's legitimately in my top 5 pop-punk albums. I'd put it in the same breath as Southern Air.

but if we're talking TWY, just know that Sister Cities is pretty middling for their discography, and Suburbia and The Greatest Generation are where it's at

sister cities is def better than suburbia tbh love that shit. TGG is always 1 tho

ALIR and tales told by dead friends are mandatory listening. the self titled is also fucking outstanding and probably their best album post Jason Lancaster

"sister cities is def better than suburbia tbh love that shit. TGG is always 1 tho" = wrong

"ALIR and tales told by dead friends are mandatory listening. the self titled is also fucking outstanding and probably their best album post Jason Lancaster" = right

Let's talk about how "Take My Breath Away" is one of the best songs released in 2018

as far as Lancaster goes, Go Radio - "Lucky Street" is pretty great

Heard this was decent and listened to it once through last night, was pretty boring beginning to end. Feel like I'm just too old for this band now lol.

Still gonna give this time, but my 2nd and 3rd listens of this saw it grow off a tad. Lovely melodies but not sure if it will have staying power. We'll see - either way this has about 4 songs I won't stop listening to any time soon.

Sowing you should really stop listening to this and listen to A Lesson in Romantics or their Self Titled if you havn't heard those.

revisited ALIR yesterday... what a nostalgia rush

I'm in agreement that this, self titled and ALIR are their best (even though I haven't heard their last 2 haha)

This album is nothing groundbreaking but it’s still enjoyable, although I was really hoping that they would continue the black lines sound they had, since it reminded me so much of Brand New/As Cities Burn/Citizen

You can hear hints of it in Stay the Same.

That said If I Were You is rising from "best song on this album" to "close to top 5 MDP"

nah its like half ballads (take my breath away, where you are, stay the same, always leaving, t/t, sort of piece of your heart) but all the energetic songs rule and the ballads are still solid

The ballads are the best part imo and the energetic tracks are what Black Lines should have been
