@Cold, Something tells me that they are hesitant to either tour with or feature Jonny again, but it could definitely happen for one final album and tour.

The outro breakdown on The Rattler is probably the heaviest thing they’ve ever done.

Shelf Life is definitely a grower, much like everything on this album. It didn't really hit me the first two or three times that I heard it, but then it just smacked me across the face with a 2x4 and a joint.

"who plays guitar on bloodsucker"
I know Zac Garren plays on one of the tracks, not sure which one, I'm not at home to check the credits of my copy.

"Shit, at this point they should just do Downtown Battle Mountain 3 and have Jonny, Kurt, AND Tilian all do vocals on it."
Please? They can stop after that and I'd be fine with it

I'm surprised to see that people like this more than Mothership. Nothing else they do will ever top that for me, but this album is such a worthy follow-up.

I honestly don't think this comes even close to Mothership's quality. That album is insane and IMO blended their heavier side, pop side, and groovy side perfectly.
but ArSe is still way fun and I'm loving it. I like the less crazy songs on here most, suprisingly. Son of Robot, Care, Count Bassy, Shelf Life, and Gospel Burnout are my favs currently. The background harmonies at the end of Shelf Life are godly.
The first minute of Rattler sounds like it could be straight off Long Live by The Chariot.

14 songs and every one of them has a different vibe. God damn.
This album sounds simultaneously more heavy, more pop/catchy, and more groovy than MS to me. It's more varied than their previous works. Love that the bass actually shines through on many of the tracks. Gospel Burnout and Bloodsucker are the jams.
