yeah im still not really feeling this one compared to the others in the joutsen era, i get that this and the previous album are somewhat of a departure from the previous more mdm styled sound to a more progressive side and on the previous effort it somehow worked for me but not here.
the last 4 song on here are standouts but otherwise this album just doesn't want to gel with me, jammed it more than enough now to feel safe about this conclusion now.

Circle is very different in style though - it was produced by Tagrtrgen (lmao) and that definitely shows
This and Red Cloud see Amorphis go full prog and they pull it off so bloody well

1,000 Lakes was the first I heard from them, and they've grown off me and come back a few times over the years. This was the first time, though, that they've come back with the same intensity as when I first got into them.
