It's all the more frustrating because when you actually know what Newsted is doing, you understand just how much better that album would have been if you could fucking hear it.
And yes, I know this is an age old complaint but it's an age old complaint for a reason.

Oh I know, but it's never going to happen so I've learned to live it. Not to mention, there's And Jason For All on YouTube, and all the live versions from Live Shit. So, I'll take what I can get.

I really fail to understand how Metallica can't remaster it but somehow we have bootlegs like Justice for Jason, I mean a remastered Justice would sell like hotcakes.

The original masters are spliced all to shit because of Lars and his shit drumming skills.

Is there a bigger douche than Lars?

He seems alright nowadays but good god he was such an asshole back in the day. Really had some balls on him for being such a mediocre drummer.

I mean I get that this is your opinion but honestly, that makes you wrong. Stop being so stubborn. Listen to my balls.

he wasn't technically proficient by any means but he got the job done. wouldn't be metallica without him.

"Lars was good waaay back in the day"
Uhhhh no he wasn't lol
He was FINE on this, Kill Em All and RTL though. I know everyone seems to like him on Justice, but maybe it's because the sound of the drumming is so much fucking louder than everything else on that album and it's the least interesting part that I actually hate it and it drives me kind of crazy.

It's a sliding scale. Of course Lars is a good drummer, you kind of have to be to get to the level that Metallica is at. But among his peers he's absolutely mediocre. He's the worst drummer out of everyone in the big four, past and present.

Honestly, to me Lars is proof that you DON'T have to be good to be at the level Metallica is at. You can just be lucky as fuck and surround yourself with people way more talented than you. Props to him for turning Metallica into a fucking business though, I guess.

Btw I hate Lars

Like I said before, and I’ll say it until I die. If I could go back and in time and change one thing, it would be to switch Lars’ and Cliff’s bunks.

a lot of that wasn't luck though. he's always been a smart, cunning motherfucker. he's the littlefinger of metal.

First four Metallica albums are all downright classics. They were one of the top metal bands of all time in their prime - even after listening to countless of records in the entire genre, I stand by this statement.
